Adaptability

One of the main things that I considered to have remain constant across the decades with OT is the adaptiveness of the field. When I think of OT, I think adaptable. There is always new creations and inventions that are available to use throughout different therapy sessions. However, an OT has to stay on their toes and remain adaptable. Every client is different and what works for one client may not work for another one. Being adaptable also means being able to be creative. As an OT you will have to figure out how to adapt different equipment/ activities to fit the needs of your client and allow them to be able to do certain things that they would not have been able to before. I look forward to seeing many OTs use adaptability to enhance their treatment sessions in the future through my fieldworks.
