Take-away: Therapeutic Relationships

The activities from last class got me super excited to start fieldwork and start making those relationships with clients. I have had experience in a clinical setting, where I was with the client at all times. I love building relationships with other people and learning more about them and their unique characteristics. At first, I may be a bit nervous because I have not had to be the person to communicate aspects of their treatment with them and have those conversations. In the past, I was just given a flowsheet to work through with them and if they had any problems/pain while doing the activity, I communicated that with the therapist. I am super excited to start building these relationships and developing trust and rapport with my future clients.
